Gemini is Google's conversational AI app on Web, Android, and iOS, deeply integrated with Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and other Google Workspace tools. As of September 2026 the newest fast model is Gemini 3.8 Flash (replaced 3.7 Flash on September 2 with the same pricing and context length, plus improved coding reasoning and hallucination suppression), and the Pro tier is Gemini 3.1 Pro, with Gemini 3 Deep Think on Google AI Ultra. Its biggest strengths are search, multimodal input, and Google service integration.

Google AI Pro includes Gemini 3.1 Pro and Gemini 3.8 Flash along with Deep Research and Deep Search (google.com/ai). Ultra adds Gemini 3 Deep Think.
Workspace Integration
Gemini appears as a side panel inside Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Meet to summarize email, draft documents, build slides, and generate meeting notes. Included from AI Pro onward. In July 2026 it also moved into Google Docs comment threads, summarizing discussions and drafting replies.
Flow — AI Filmmaking Suite
Google's Flow suite adds text-to-video, ingredients-to-video, and frames-to-video workflows.
Deep Research
Runs multi-source web research sessions and produces structured reports. Supports file uploads up to 1,500 pages on Pro / Ultra.
Android's assistant moves fully to Gemini
Google will retire the legacy Google Assistant from Android phones in September 2026 and hand the assistant role entirely to Gemini. The "Google Home Speaker 2026," which shipped in June, already runs on Gemini rather than the old command parser.
