Until last month Cowork lived in its own separate mode, awkward to jump into from your everyday chat.

What changed

Sept 16: Anthropic announced Cowork is merging into regular chat, plus collaborative Claude Docs (beta) and in-chat Claude Design, rolling out to Pro/Max.

Why it matters

If you draft docs or notes, you can now co-edit right inside chat with less back-and-forth. If you only ask one-off questions, this barely touches you.

Manus edges toward a $4B funding round

Barely three weeks independent, and the valuation is already climbing.

Manus only resumed independent operations in August, and its financial runway looked uncertain.

What changed

About a month after going independent, Manus is reported in final talks for a $500M round at a $4B valuation — not yet closed.

Why it matters

If it closes, Manus becomes one of the best-funded autonomous agents around. Until it's official though, it's too early to factor into any buying decision.
