Udio is an AI music generation service launched in 2024 by former Google DeepMind researchers. Alongside Suno, it defines the "text-to-full-song" category, and is especially praised for vocal naturalness and audio clarity. Its investors include Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and artists such as will.i.am and Common.
Throughout 2025-2026 Udio has shipped updated model generations with longer continuous generation and better prompt adherence (exact version names and specs should be verified on the official site).

1. High-quality prompt-to-song generation
Prompts combining genre, mood, instruments and era generate roughly 2-minute tracks with clear verse/chorus structure. Vocal pronunciation and overall mix quality are widely praised.
2. Extend and Remix
- Extend: lengthen an initial 30-40 second clip before or after, section by section
- Remix: regenerate an existing track in a different style
- Section-level editing lets you build songs iteratively.
3. Custom lyrics and instrumentals
