Bloomberg Terminal AI
Overview
Bloomberg Terminal AI is the set of AI capabilities built into the Bloomberg Terminal. At its center is ASKB, the conversational AI interface announced in February 2026 and currently in beta, which lets you research across market data, news, and sell-side research in natural language. Because it sits on Bloomberg's real-time market data and news infrastructure, research never leaves the Terminal.

ASKB (Conversational AI, beta)
Answers questions across hundreds of millions of company documents, the 5,000+ Bloomberg News stories published each day, and sell-side and independent research. Answers carry source attribution, and ASKB can generate Bloomberg Query Language (BQL) code so you can continue the analysis in Excel or BQuant.
ASKB Workflows
Describe a multi-step task such as pre-earnings prep, post-earnings analysis, or meeting prep, and ASKB assembles a structured output in minutes. Workflows can be saved as templates, re-run across different parameters, and shared with a team.
Mobile Access
On August 19, 2026 ASKB expanded to mobile, so a conversation started on the desktop can be continued on an iOS or Android phone or tablet without restating the query. The Bloomberg Professional mobile app gained a dedicated ASKB tab, and personalized profiles and Morning Report scheduling sync across devices.
Document Insights / Document Workspace
Ask questions about filings and earnings materials in everyday language. Multiple documents can be processed together and compared in structured form.
AI News Summaries
AI summarizes news drawn from more than 30,000 sources so you can see what is moving a name quickly.
Earnings Call Summaries
Automatic summaries of earnings calls. Bloomberg reports that a summary taking 15 minutes by hand now completes in about 30 seconds, expanding coverage from 10 to 40 companies per analyst per week.

Bloomberg does not publish list prices, but 2026 estimates put a single seat at roughly $31,980/year (about $2,665/month), dropping to about $28,320 per seat on multi-terminal contracts. AI features are included with a Terminal / Bloomberg Anywhere subscription; there is no separate AI SKU.
