ChatGPT now shows every logged-in device and lets you sign them out
"Active Sessions" panel added June 2: view all logged-in devices with device, location, and sign-in time — and sign out any suspicious session instantly.
Before
Until last month, there was no official way to see which devices were actively logged into your ChatGPT account.
Blocking access from an unknown device meant changing the password or relying on third-party auth tools. Users who shared ChatGPT on shared computers, or who had reused passwords across services, had no straightforward way to audit or revoke existing sessions.
OpenAI recommended two-factor authentication, but provided no mechanism to inspect or force-terminate existing sessions.

Now you can react immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. Note: third-party app integrations and Codex CLI sessions do not appear in this panel.
If a suspicious device appears, pair a sign-out with an immediate password change for the most complete response. Codex CLI and third-party app sessions don't appear here, so manage API key access separately. If you've ever used ChatGPT on a shared PC or logged in somewhere you no longer trust, check this panel now and clear any sessions you don't recognize.
