Build a "Personal AI" with NotebookLM (Life Edition)
NotebookLM is a Google tool that answers based only on materials you upload. Unlike general AI, sources are limited to your own materials, so hallucination is less likely—good for everyday learning.
Uses in Daily Life
- Put in manuals, contracts, municipal guides and ask "what should we do in our case?"
- Put in course materials and your notes to generate comprehension quizzes
- Cross multiple materials to organize "so what should we do?"
Basic Flow
- Upload related materials (PDF, text, URL)
- Ask "key points as bullets," "what's the relevant part for my situation (XX)?"
- Generate a dialogue-style explanation via audio overview and review while multitasking
Caution
- Confidential/personal info: confirm terms and use before uploading; remove unneeded personal info
- Copyright: don't bulk-input or redistribute others' works
- Old materials yield old answers; people manage information freshness
Strength
